You're right - even though you were blessed to have her so long, 47 years is not enough. I lost my 90-year-old grandpa just after 9/11, and I still miss him every day. I was so very grateful to be with her when she passed, after 5 years of terrible illness, there was such peace with her. No matter how prepared you think you are, you never are.
