Is it sick to love a pen?

by Karoli on January 25, 2006

Sneadwoman doesn’t think so. Neither do I. I thought I had a closet paper-and-pen fetish, but now I find out I’m not the only one.

I love pens that have fine, fine points. My favorite is the Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph Technical Pen with a .13mm point. Oooooh, when it works right (and it’s definitely finicky) it is the finest writing instrument I’ve ever used. Here’s something else: I LOVE purple ink. Unfortunately there isn’t any purple ink that I’ve found that will work in my pen, so when I’m craving purple I have to settle for the Uniball Vison, extra-fine in purple, .5mm.

Do you love your pens? Which are your favorites?

  • It is never, never, EVER sick to love office supplies.. it is the sign of sane and loving mind, who wants to highlight the inked colors of our lives on bright, white sheets of bound paper journals, to be stapled together and paperclipped to the good things lists we all make and keep in our organizer... er minds.

  • I *love* Pilot G2 Gel pens. But only in blue. And I prefer fine point to extra fine because the extra fine like to stop working.
