Olympic Ice Skating Scores

Update: Yale Statistics Professor John Emerson finds a mathematical flaw
in the ice skating scoring system. He also has a simplified explanation of how the scores are supposed to work. I’m with Kmilyun on this one — the whole thing gives me a headache.
