Coffee, Exercise, Genetics and Death

Dr. Charles over at* The Cheerful Oncologist is on a roll today after happening across a JAMA article about heart attack risk in people who are slow caffeine metabolizers.

There are just some things that are sacred to me. Coffee is one of them. I refuse to give up my Venti drip (double-cupped with a sleeve) because I might increase my heart attack risk by a few points.

Is anyone else bugged about how specific some of these studies are and the message that no matter what we do we’re doomed anyway?

*duh…I mixed up two of my favorite medbloggers in my haste to get this posted. A fragmented mind at work.
