Girls Inc. has created Girls Inc. Online, where girls ages 9-17 can become part of an online community and consequently access Tolu’s blog, a blog written by a college-age intern at Girls Inc. headquarters in New York. (I couldn’t check out her blog, because you have to be 9-17 to register).
I have been looking for a safe and cool online community for Dancergirl to join. We’ve been playing on Flickr together but it’s not the same as finding kids the same age and being part of that community. She shared her desire to follow in my geeky footsteps (small prideful glow), so this link is just like manna from heaven! If you have a daughter who wants to be part of the online life without the MySpace problems, this may be an alternative!
