Dancergirl Wins BIG!

Congratulations to Dancergirl for winning her championship today and winning with a perfect score — First from all of the judges!

Now she’s in the highest level of Irish Dance — Open Championships. She’s worked hard and long to get there — 8 years in all, and this was a sweet, sweet win and a wonderful day for her!

All week long she’s been self-talking — doing confidence builders, writing notes, blogging, all of it. And today she put it all together — her teacher’s description of her performance was that she was “inspiring”.

And she was.

Thanks for all the congratulations! She’s still over the moon.

Liz, they prohibit videotaping and any photography during competitions. An antique rule that relates to the idea of schools stealing each other’s choreography (not that they don’t anyway).

But if they do a recital soon, I’ll have video then.
