Help for an HBO-deprived household?

by Karoli on August 22, 2006 · 3 comments

Tonight HBO aired the first part of Spike Lee’s documentary “When the Levees Broke“.

We don’t get HBO. Does anyone know if there are plans to release this on DVD or make it available for home viewing? Post a comment and let me know…I’m dying to see it. From what I’ve read thus far it is one of the most important documentaries to be done in a very long time.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t release it as a dvd once it’s run its course on HBO; they usually do, both docs, series and movies. (I’m HBO-less too but have caught up with some great shows via dvd.) I looked at their shopping area and other docs are in there so why not this one eventually? :-)

(And thanks for the heads up on this one; I’ll have to look for it myself.)

Hi! Yes, this will be released on DVD. I found that out through an online discussion that was held on washingtonpost.com. Check out the discussion here – http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2006/08/21/DI2006082101122.html?sub=AR
