Outages

My internet is currently down and I’m using a neighbor’s unsecured wireless network for access. I’m grateful for the connection but tomorrow I need to go over and show them how to buckle it down…it’s silly and unsafe to leave it open.

This weekend has been a case of reality slapping me hard — Sticks goes back to school tomorrow; Dancergirl on Tuesday. Summer is gone already, I have a zillion projects to finish and work backlogged for days. Sticks had his summer-end percussion ensemble concert on Saturday, the Marching Band kickoff and demo on Friday and today was reserved for spending way too much money on school supplies.

Life is spinning. Spinning way too fast.

One thing I did do this weekend was read the Uglies trilogy, Scott Westerfeld‘s futuristic series that Dancergirl read this summer. It was an interesting 3-book read. I’ll write a review when I’m connected on my own network and have a minute to think.

How can summer be gone already? I hate this. SAT and ACT are right around the corner. Ugh.
