Just saw your comments on my site, and wanted to drop by and say hello. Terrible story about Liam. My heart bleeds for his parents. It’s so hard, sometimes, to know what to do. But thank you for the success stories.

My 11-year-old son had a HORRIBLE year in fifth grade last year. Went from A-B honor roll to almost flunking out of grade school. This year, in sixth grade, he seems to be doing well. At a new school for middle school, where no one expects him to be “Jack the screw-up.” He’s happier, doing his work, and playing clarinet in the band. He brought his instrument home for the first time Thursday, and has practiced a few minutes every day without being told.

Our kids are remarkable. My son certainly is. He amazes me every day. ADHD is difficult; I’m an ADHD adult and it causes me no end of problems sometimes. The other day I drove around for half an hour before I figured out where I meant to be going. But look what great kids we have!

    Hi Angie,

Nice to meet you! I’ve added you to the blogroll under ADHD and subscribed to your blog. It’ll be interesting to hear what your son has to say. I hope his school year is great!
