Adderall, the FDA, and Black Box Warnings

Now THIS is news, but not panic-inducing news.

Black Box Warnings have been added to AdderallXR and Dexedrine warning of cardiac risks.

The bottom line?
Anyone on stimulant medications should be monitored, black box warning or not. That means blood pressure and heart rate at least once a month, preferably on and off the medication.

That’s all. Nothing dire, nothing hysterical. Just be sure you’re monitored.
