OMG! NOT ANOTHER ONE FROM ME!

Ok, seriously, though, that was my point. The system itself -is- broken, and I'm not arguing that. The problem lies with much more than one place.

One, whoever it was that decided on your plan. Caremark (from everywhere I've checked) doesn't make the plans on which drugs are covered and which aren't. Now, that doesn't mean that they can't be a little more freakin' helpful in what you can do to either get your/your son's medication....you know, like CALL out and find this information for you, instead of just putting it on your shoulders.

That, though, really depends on who it is that you talk to. Some of the "representatives" are usually pretty crappy with their service, and I'm not going to argue that either. You do, though, get people that actually try to help you, but...like with all things, the bad usually outweigh the good.

Here's an interesting link:
http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/news/releases/pressrelease.asp?ID=2006205&search=1

Then again, sometimes I question JD Power and their decisions, but...they're not really that easy to impress.

Anyway, -my- rantings weren't supposed to be against you. Moreso against people as a whole who blame one side completely instead of looking at the situation as a whole.

For example, another quick story: A man calls Caremark, angry as hell, because he doesn't have his medication yet. He's tired of getting excuses, run around, he wants to know where his medication is, and the people he talks to keep telling him that he should have gotten it at 3 that day, that it was already sent out, and the tracking information said it was expected to deliver by then.

Bullshit, he thinks, and says. He's livid. Utterly disgusted with how little this company cares for his health, and how great it is that every person he talks to is lying to him.

He speaks with ANOTHER rep. This one calls FedEx, who was shipping the package, and brings the gentleman on the line while he talks to FedEx to see what happened.

Turns out that there was a "flight delay" (according to FedEx), and that's why his medication didn't get delivered on time. She offers to put a trace on the package and have him called back from someone at FedEx on when it gets to his area, so he can expect delivery. -IMMEDIATELY- he goes off again, saying he doesn't want to talk to Caremark, that they gave him that information, that he should have had his package that day, and that they were full of it, and so on, etc.... The woman from FedEx says again that Caremark shipped it, and that it was -FEDEX- who screwed up......

....do you follow the story so far? This is the kind of attitude that gets you nowhere, especially since it's an issue where one needs something but doesn't know who's responsible for what. Do I condone the man for being ignorant about his medication? No. He has every right to be pissed off. But WHO he's pissed off with is the problem, and the fact that he was yelling at someone and blaming someone when it wasn't their fault shows that most people (no offense) don't know who's responsible for what...

Anyway, keep fighting (of course)...just know who/how to fight for it.
