Vox Popular!

by Karoli on October 25, 2006

I wrote about Vox awhile back – it’s Six Apart’s blogging/youtube/flickr/amazon mashup for everyone. It officially launches to the public tomorrow, and they’ve added some new features that make it even more fun.

One of the coolest aspects of Vox is how they’ve set up what they call “asset management”. That’s the media that you might upload to your blog, including audio, video, photos, and books. One of the nice buttons they added is one called “re-blog this”, so that if you see something you want to blog, you can click the ‘re-blog’ button and Vox will start a post with someone’s Vox album or video.

One of the nicest parts of Vox is the pretty themes — there are tons, and changing them is one-click easy.

Vox is fun because it’s easy. It’s not meant to be a geek farm for under-the-hood tweakers like me, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. I can see my mom and other family members having a ton of fun with it. Here’s my Vox blog — it’s where The Pug Moblog is.

Congratulations, Vox! Happy launch day.
