Giving the Wii Some Love

After all, it’s not Nintendo’s fault that radio stations are stupid.

I think the Wii is the coolest invention since Pong. Truly. The motion sensitivity in the remote is THAT perfect. I love Wii Sports, especially the bowling and tennis. Zelda is beautiful, as it always is, but instead of pushing a button to swing the sword, you actually swing the sword. It rocks. Our entire family has had a blast with it. We even had a Friday game night last week, partly to cheer Sticks up and partly just to have some fun with each other.

Kevin MD had a post up tonight about a guy who loves his Wii and wants to lose weight. For six weeks, he did 30 minutes of Wii Sports and watched his diet. He’s lost 9 pounds so far. Now that’s my kind of diet. :)

I really do love the Wii. Nintendo nailed this one right down to the floor. One precaution, though — we have had the remote leave our hands and wrists during bowling — it’s so easy to think you’re rolling the ball that the hand just lets go. Fortunately it didn’t go far — we must not be as enthusiastic as some of the Wii destructors out there.

I like the Wii but only really play it at Christmas and some other times during the yaer. I get bored with it quickly.
