You know you live in the sticks when the hot spot is Dennys at 9:30pm on a Saturday.
Sticks and Bigdog are still in Texas tonight — audition #2 went very well with some encouraging remarks from the head of the jazz studies program, but he won’t know much until after March 10th, so it’ll be a month of pins and needles.
In other Sticks news, the semester grades came back the best ever — a 4.0! He’s on a roll these days…and deservedly so after so many years of being set up to fail.

Honestly…I am so glad to see things go his way, because so many (especially teachers) predicted failure for him in high school, yet he has chosen to shine. He’s a really good kid who didn’t deserve all those dire predictions, so yay Sticks for proving them wrong!!!
