The hand of President Bush definitely manipulated the firing of the US Attorneys. Here’s one smoking gun. I’m sure others are buried in the piles of PDFs posted yesterday.

And this morning, NPR reported that the Justice Department gave Patrick Fitzgerald (you know, the guy prosecuting Scooter) a “mediocre” rating. The only criteria: loyalty to the President.
