Featherhead and Jack were very quiet this afternoon, when the Blue Heron Express dropped by (3 adults) with food. Suddenly the nest exploded into a flurry of activity. I ended up shooting video because so much was going on that I couldn’t possibly get it all with still shots. The Canon allows me to take stills while shooting video, and this is the result.
They’d both been fed (with Mom popping them upside the beak with her wing when they got too raucous), and were in “wing-flapping” mode — facing each other and flapping as if to say “My wings are bigger than yours”.
When I get the video edited and rendered I’ll upload it. It’s really getting hectic here with the last haul toward graduation, final concerts, music festivals and trying to finish this church website. It may be photos and not much more for awhile.
