One Step At A Time

summer-feis-1DG did her first competition in months last weekend. I’m always amazed at what she can do on that stage, especially when I haven’t seen her compete for awhile.

She’s in a tough level now — this is the group that goes to the World championships and the like, and it’s difficult. Yet, she stays with it and keeps pushing herself, and scored a trophy for the first time last weekend. It was a smaller competition than usual because it’s summer and it was outside, but it was a great re-entry to the competitive arena of dance.

Her goal is to qualify for the Worlds this year…that’s a lofty goal, but if anyone could do it just through sheer determination, it would be DG. I’ve never known anyone (not even Sticks) who gets as focused and determined as she. Go DG!!!

Your children are so talented! DG looks gorgeous and confident. I’d love to watch a video clip of her dancing.

Thank you, Katharine! Here’s a video of her group performing on St. Patrick’s day. This is one of her favorite ‘show dances’. It’s much less difficult than what they do for competitions, but still fun.

Wah! The video doesn’t work for me. (My browser is IE 7.)

But it works in Firefox. Bravo!
