Something is not aligned right in my universe. All day long, I have fussed with not being able to get Blogger to publish anything I need done for my job, weird network outages, a downright evil computer crash, and phone calls out of nowhere asking me for information that should have long been in the hands of the person requesting it.
I’m also fighting with the new breed of comment spammers. They’re the ones that leave the weird comment that says “interesting post but I don’t quite understand….yadayada…” and sneak through the three layers of spam protection here on the blog occasionally because they’re bot-bombing.
What is it about August? This is the month that just drives me nuts. It’s hot, there’s fires (the Zaca fire is now heading our way — you can see some of the smoke in my Flickr photos here), and nothing is working right. At least, nothing that requires any degree of connectivity.
Sigh.
Update: And it looks like it really IS Terrible Tuesday — not just the Internets that are cranky, but also the stock market. Just remember that a little more than a year ago, breaking 12,000 seemed like a huge goal…and things have been completely irrational since.
