Tweet and Eat

True confession: When I first criticized Twitter, I had absolutely no clue about how wildly creative people could be about how they used it. I still can’t really explain it to folks outside of the geek/blog world, but I’m constantly amazed at the cool ways folks are using it. And since I discovered Snitter, it’s even cooler. Here are a couple of cool discoveries that make me like Twitter more and more:

  1. Emergencies: I have my Twitter feed running on my Chumby because the LAFD is one of my Twitter contacts so I can follow their updates in case of an emergency. (Yes, I live outside of their service area but Ventura County isn’t twittering yet).
  2. Micro Recipes: I just discovered this one. Twitterer Cookbook is twittering recipes in 140 characters or less. This is so cool! I’m loving this one. Cooler still is that I can fave the recipes easily and find them later. I do wish there was a way to tag faves for easy finding later, but still…what a clever and creative idea!

What other types of things could be microblogged that way?
