The Painted Box

A few years ago I used some celtic designs to make painted boxes using Tria markers and paper mache’ boxes to give away as gifts. It was a labor-intensive effort and I haven’t had time to make any more, despite my long-ago promise to do one that matched DGs dress so she could store her wig and makeup in something nicer than a shoebox. She got tired of waiting and locked herself in her room this weekend. I had no idea what she was up to in there, and then she walked out with this! I think it’s just beautiful, and it matches her design and colors of her dress. So it’s a mom brag moment…this is all her project, but I’m braggin’ anyway. :)

Bragging can be a good thing – especially when it is warranted.

    Very Nice! Cool DG!

Simply gorgeous! DG could photograph this design and similar ones and sell them on T-shirts, ceramic tiles, and lots of other stuff at CafePress.com. I know I’d buy a tee from DG if it had a lovely green, purple, and gold Celtic design on it. :-)

    Thanks, everyone!

Katharine,I’m going to suggest that to her! It would be cool if she could do this stuff and make a bit of money. :)
