12 things I want to be thankful for
Posted by Karoli in asides November 22nd, 2007
I know…late post. But even as I’m grateful for what is today, I have a list of things I really want to be grateful for tomorrow. Some are weighty; others fanciful. Still, by next year, I’d love to see them happen.
- Leftover turkey
- An end to obnoxious spammers
- A house that is not overcrowded
- A weekend without football
- A vacation without kids
- A cell phone with all of the features I want
- Hormonal balance and a return to my former size 8 self
- Full public exoneration of Julie Amero with an apology
- Full withdrawal of all of our troops in Iran and Afghanistan
- Accessible affordable health insurance available to everyone
- An end to US threats toward Iran
- An election outcome that brings realism and honesty into the office. (I told you there were some fanciful hopes)
I am thankful for what I have today, but that doesn’t stop me for hoping for a better tomorrow.
What do you hope for?

A weekend without football? You mean, actually *going* to games? I can’t count how many we’ve watched since Wednesday and The Youngest is on his way to watch Georgia v. Georgia Tech this minute.
LOL, I wasn’t actually thinking about ‘going’ to games as much as doing something entirely different without so much as a peep at a TV or a football. It seems like there’s more and more with every passing day. Ugggg.
Exactly! Ugggg.
