No one deserved that Grammy more than you, despite the quality of the others. Great music, incredible musicians and vision put together a classic. First time for any jazz album in 43 years, and no one better than you to win it.

I really didn't expect him to win. There's so much junk in the universe masquerading a music. He's always been a class act. I'm thrilled I was watching when the Grammy was announced.

Now, how did Sticks manage to get that photo? Sticks is looking really cool; I kno he must have been as exccited all get out.

Ah, the photo... We went to the Herbie Hancock concert in Santa Barbara in November. HH is such a generous soul...Sticks waited by the back door until they came out and asked if he could get a photo with him, which HH generously obliged and also an autograph on the program. Of course, Sticks was also hoping to see Vinnie Coliauta, who is just fantastic on "River", but Vinnie doesn't do pics and autographs, unfortunately for Sticks.

Also unfortunate -- hubby didn't change the flash settings before shooting this with my camera which is why it's so blown out in the highlights. Still, it's a keeper. :)
