Me=Killjoy

by Karoli on March 31, 2008

Here’s my take on April Fool’s Day: Our relationship is one that has at least a tenuous tie of trust. Therefore, I’m likely to assume that you’re saying what you mean. If you’re not, it pisses me off and makes me not want to believe you any more even if you have permission to play tricks and jokes.

This is why I hate April Fool’s Day, and tend to get very bitchy by day’s end.

Yes, I am a killjoy. Deal with it.

    I absolutely agree with you. I found myself just gritting my teeth to get through April 1st, knowing that almost any story I came across in the media was going to be suspect, as everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

    Today I found out that an in-house joke had actually lost the company a lot of money in terms of lost time, as people tried to deal with a non-existent crisis. Yeah, real funny.
  • I really do hear you it makes me feel like an idiot when I am forced to waste my time on something to find it was a joke yeah hahahhaha yeah right so funny NOT
  • Ok, before the 1st I leave my comment LOL

    I dislike the atmosphere of constant pranks and find it hard trying to decide if someone is fooling me or not. My luxury is I can stay at home and avoid it all. Count me as a Killjoy also. But if this is just an early 1st joke than consider me had.
  • It is absolutely not a joke -- that's why I posted it on the 31st. It's not even the 1st yet and I'm already tired of the 'jokiness'. I guess I have no sense of humor, but I really do. Just not patience for being duped. I can get that in any number of ways in my life. I don't need it from my friends.
