Mom was right about Little League

It teaches sportsmanship? Not so much.

Of course, parents set the precedent for this stuff, pundits and politicians reinforce it (there’s all sorts of ways to deliver a sucker punch), so I’m cynically unsurprised when kids do it. Just sad, is all.

WOW! I was very involved in Little League with my son for more than 10 years. ANy kids doing this would have been banned for life. And the parents would have been prosecuted. that is just crazy!

My boys played for years – and yes, the parents are a huge part of the problem. We were lucky and had great coaches who understood the point of little league.. They may not have won the seasons but we were thrilled.

Parents are not wrong all the time, I understand there are some things that we only understand when we actually get into, but still one can easily establish a difference between whats good and whats not, so I am the kind of mom that would let my kids do what they want with the closer look, so that what ever they are doing is not wrong!
