Why cameras love her
Posted by Karoli in Photography June 28th, 2008
Since she was a baby, she has never met a camera that didn’t perk up and do its very best to capture her. Mine is no different. In-N-Out burger, sunset on the beach, many pelicans, a few sea lions, some big waves, and the camera made for a fun night.
We’re doing our best to stay decompressed for Nationals. It’s a big goal for her and she’s understandably nervous, but she’s also prepared. She dances a week from today and the competition is large and very, very difficult.
Going to the beach for an hour or so to watch pelicans, sunsets and waves is one way to take her mind off things. The camera appreciates it too — she’s always got at least one great look to give it. This was tonight’s.

Dancing - 9 Years
Posted by Karoli in Video June 25th, 2008
DG made this Scrapblog after scanning all the pics we’ve taken of her over the years dancing. It’s SUCH a walk down memory lane for me…LOVE IT. I told Erin (QueenofSpain) on Twitter tonight that her little girl would make a totally cute little Irish dancer, after watching her little dance video. This walks me down those same years, when DG was the ‘littlest dancer”.

I hope you dance, too. We’re leaving next week for Nashville and the North American Irish Dance Championships, where DG will be dancing on 7/5. Keep her in your thoughts.
