Crap Post #2

Again, rising to Steve Gillmor’s challenge…

Today’s WebSpat involves my friends over on the Gillmor Gang, who spent the better part of an hour castigating Robert Scoble for not writing long, thoughtful blog posts.

Thank God he doesn’t. My brain can’t handle too many long, thoughtful pondering blog posts. But you can listen to what Mike Arrington and Jason Calacanis hand Robert as advice and decide for yourself.

Oh, and as long as I’m posting a non-thoughtful short, pithy blog post, I would like to take one more moment to thank Steve and Tina Gillmor for inviting me to participate on NewsGang Live this past year. It has truly been one of the biggest highlights of my year, bringing new friends, new challenges, and an incredibly knit community of people lost in these odd times. Happy New Year, Steve and Tina, and may 2009 be the year we figure out how to have health insurance without going bankrupt.

  • Karoli, as the resident guest host of NGL, you are now the default repository for NGL'ers comments to the team. Steve and Tina, thank you for enabling this gang of co-independents. Thank you all for providing a perilous and exciting space to investigate and manipulate our indivdual and shared perspective while providing the platform to let it bleed into the general environment. Let's have a great 2009.
  • Amen, brother. I, too, would like to thank Steve and Tina Gillmor for bringing us together on Newsgang Live this year. I feel like I have been embraced by a group of intelligent people who don't mind that I bark into the phone and giggle uncontrollably. They are real friends, not "just" online friends.

And health insurance is the big story of 2009, GIllmor Gangers. Better get with it:-)
