2 for the road

I’ve been walking every day for at least a mile and sometimes more. Today was a 3-mile walk, because I wanted to get to what I call the “sunflower house”. It faces the freeway offramp here, and the family keeps a vegetable garden in their front yard. Surrounding the garden are sunflowers. HUGE sunflowers. Gigantic sunflowers. I’ve never seen any as big as the ones he grows. this one was about 8 inches across at the center, about 12 altogether. But it’s getting to the time of year where they’re wilting and drooping, so I wanted to catch them before they were gone. Lucky me, I did.
