Crunchup Real Time Conference

I am watching the Crunchup Real-Time conference right now on tinychat. If you want to join the chat and watch the demos, I have it embedded on the site here. The only problem is that tinychat’s video windows are…tiny. So if you want bigger windows, you can go here for the larger UStream feed.

Some of the highlights:

Real time AIM client with integrated Facebook/Twitter features. Go to http://beta.aim.com/
Real time WordPress.com updates to blogs and blog comments. Go to http://im.wordpress.com/
Real time IM integration on websites from Meebo.com

They’re having some trouble with the wireless, but most presenters have come prepared with wifi cards. Real time is here. it’s only a question of how we’re going to manage it. So far, I’m seeing a lot of ways to receive a real-time stream. Now I’m hoping for tools to filter and manage those streams so we don’t become complete vegetables.

Adobe is presenting something now that looks like it might be going in that direction. More later.
