Gaze Upon the Unemployed; Hear Their Voices

[h/t digby]

For me, it will be 2 years this week in the ranks of the unemployed. Because I lack a college degree, I am not even in the running to work as a sales clerk for Michael’s. Seriously.

Hear these voices when you feel angry about the President’s deal with Republicans over the tax cut extensions. In my opinion, they should all have been allowed to expire. Instead they will be extended for two more years, because Republicans held unemployment insurance extenders hostage. But would you want to be the one denying these people unemployment benefits during the holidays? I wouldn’t.

He hears these voices and says they shouldn’t be the victims of politicking. I think this will bite Democrats in the butt in 2012, but it will be what it is.

Ah that explains it. I assumed you didn’t have a college degree based on your blogs. Thank you for confirming my assumption.

As someone from England could you explain “because Republicans held unemployment insurance extenders hostage”? How does that work?

I have every sympathy with your point of view, just trying to understand what that sentence means.

What a snide and unhelpful remark.

Sorry not to have seen this sooner. They blocked a vote on the extenders until they got what they wanted.

… College and Uni for many is little more than a defensible reason to get hired. I know more than a few educated idiots … life is an education … perhaps you missed it …

Thank you.

Ah, well, just because you have a college degree doesn’t make you intelligent. As is obvious in your case. How incredibly rude and classless of you to say such a thing.

True to all your blogs, your emotions rule the day for you. You blogs consitently promote your views and opinions that are merely emotionaly driven. I have not seen critical thinking and decision making in any of your proposals. Only “I want it and I want it now!!!”

Emotions are a part of humanity. You know this. it’s why you deploy insults and snark instead of addressing the very real problems being discussed. You hope to distract with cuts to people rather than facts.
