My heart is broken. I can’t even find the right words for how scenes like this make me feel — hurt, angry, afraid. Please. Take a walk. Ride the train. Recycle. Use less plastic. Ride a bike. You might save a pelican, or the planet.

Looks like something you’d see on an LSD trip. Or at least, what I imagine a trip to be, given that acid trips were pretty passe by the time I came of age.

The parent looks a tiny bit frazzled and hassled. That may be because these children are no longer little chirping chicks; they’re full-fledged teenagers nearly as big as she, and they expect to be fed regularly. Of course, we couldn’t relate to that, now could we?
